An additional 113 firms obtained the Company of Good– 3 Hearts acknowledgment, including 8M Realty, Banyan Tree Holdings, Far East Orchard, OUE REIT Management and Savills (Singapore).
“As we look in advance, NVPC will concentrate on strengthening the community of Business of Good and enabling organisations to learn from one another, collaborate across companies and industries and create impact together,” adds Soh.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong governed the activity, providing the Champion of Good grants, whilst Senior Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, and Trade and Sector Low Yen Ling offered the Business of Good– 3 Hearts awards.
Small and medium-sized ventures accounted for most of receivers, making up 376 organisations, or 78% of the total.
Meanwhile, 63 organisations were given the Champ of Good honor– the highest tier of the recognition system– including Kuok (Singapore), Lendlease Global Commercial Trust Management, Mapletree Investments and TS Team.
This year’s cohort consists of 177 Business of Good– 1 Heart receivers, amongst them Colliers, Fraxtor, Craig Road Property, Ngee Koon, and Momentus Hotel Alexandra.
The news was made at NVPC’s Firm of Good Conference and Conferment held on July 20 at Fairmont Singapore, which saw almost 700 business heads got together.
“10 years on, Company of Good has definitely displayed that Business Function is significantly emerging as an important part of how organisations produce value for their stakeholders and the broader society,” states Tony Soh, PRESIDENT, NVPC.
Over the previous 3 years, 1,046 recognised Companies of Good have mutually provided almost $384 million in funds offerings, more than $85 million in donations in-kind, and over 1.1 million volunteer hours.
A total of 481 companies were identified as Business of Good by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) this year, as the initiative noted its 10th anniversary. The acknowledgment honours services that produce favorable social effect in Singapore.
